We extend an open invitation to all to join the Crew List for the XOD fleet at Itchenor Sailing Club. This is a list of people who would like to occasionally or regularly crew on an XOD at Itchenor and as yet do not have a regular place on a boat. It is also for those who would like to “give it a try”.
Clare Blevins is organising the Crew List and it is our hope that all those who participate will have fun and share in the wealth of experience that is available within the fleet. Over the weeks crews will be matched with a number of different owners and helms and we very much hope that they will enjoy themselves so much that, should they wish, they will invited to take a permanent place in a boat.
There is no obligation on anyone to sail frequently or regularly – just when they want to.
Clare will email the Crew List each week to tell them about the next weekend’s racing programme and ask if and when they are available. If a crew is available, they will be matched with a boat and their details will be sent to the helm who will make direct contact. It is hoped that the list will be run entirely by email so if you are interested in joining our Crew List, please email Clare or the Class Captain. We aim to make the experience of sailing an X an enjoyable one for all.
